We have compiled a list of drug and alcohol treatment centers that provide services to families across western Kentucky and beyond. Several times weekly, we will field calls from families requesting this information and options that they may have for a loved one suffering from addiction.

There are choices available out there. You can contact any of the treatment facilities and ask them questions.

There is no reason to put this off. The information is listed below.

Edgewater Recovery Centers offers a full continuum of programs for men suffering from alcohol and substance use disorders. Whether in need of structured residential aftercare following a 30-day inpatient or residential treatment stay, or a step up in treatment intensity of a traditional outpatient treatment program. ERC's Residential Treatment Program model offers a full clinical continuum of care along with a comprehensive community living environment. This model offers male patients and their families, the most comprehensive addiction treatment to support a lifetime of sustainable recovery from drugs and alcohol.

Insurance Information:
• If you have current coverage from any of the insurance providers listed below, then your treatment at Stepworks Recovery Centers should be covered: Aetna, CareSource, Passport Health Plan, WellCare, Optum, Humana, Cigna, Anthem.
• If your Medicaid plan is provided through one of the Insurance companies listed above, then your treatment should be covered.
• If you have Medicare, then for your treatment to be covered, your plan must be provided through one of the insurance companies listed above AND you must Have received an opiate-dependent diagnosis.

At Stepworks, they provide medical detox, individualized residential treatment and aftercare planning to patients who struggle with substance use disorder. Stepworks also recently launched their Partial Hospitalization Program in Elizabethtown. There are six Stepworks locations across the state of Kentucky. They have co-ed facilities in Nicholasville, Bowling Green, and two in Elizabethtown (Woodland Drive and Crowne Pointe). They also have all male facilities in Paducah and London.

All of Stepworks co-ed facilities will accept pregnant (up to 36 weeks) patients seeking treatment for substance use disorder. It is important to note that Stepworks Elizabethtown: Woodland Drive facilitates our PICC line program. Patients who are medically complex and require antibiotic treatment via PICCs can receive those medications in the facility and PICCs are maintained and serviced in the facility by trained staff to avoid any disruptions in treatment.

CenterPoint is managed by Four Rivers Behavioral Health and is funded in part by the Kentucky Housing Corporation, The Department for Local Government, and the Kentucky Department of Corrections. The program of treatment at CenterPoint Recovery Center is divided into five distinct phases. Each phase is designed to further recovery goals while at the same time, offering clients more independence.

The complete program utilizes the 12-steps of Alcoholics Anonymous along with Recovery Dynamics, which is a program of study focusing on the physical and mental aspects of addiction.

JourneyPure in Paducah has two treatment options:
1. Outpatient Clinic - IOP is ideal as a step-down after inpatient treatment when the issue is first noticed or after a recent relapse. You attend 10 hours of treatment per week, while you live at home or in sober living.
2. Suboxone Doctors - Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) utilizes prescription medications to help you recover from addiction. Suboxone, which is designed to treat opioid addiction, satisfies cravings without getting you high.

Lifeline Recovery Center started providing a Christ-centered approach for those dealing with life-controlling addictions in 2004 in Paducah, Ky. Since 2013, we have served over 2000 people with a 63 percent success rate of sobriety after one year.

Lifeline's trained staff and counselors, along with volunteers, provide a supportive environment through a structured learning program that includes volunteering in the community, employment when possible and licensed counseling sessions. The program helps clients not only gain victory over their addiction, but often leads to improved conditions in their marriage, family, and other relationships.

New clients are accepted throughout the year to begin the long-term program, featuring different levels of care for Recovery. Clients must stay in campus housing throughout the duration of the program. During the last 16-week phase, clients must complete 12 aftercare meetings and attend two additional outside meetings and two church services each week. Classes include: Group Therapy, Exercise class, AA & Celebrate Recovery, the 12-step program; Peer Support Groups, Jobs for Life, Christian living, parenting, anger management, financial peace, and aftercare.
